Ruth 4:10

AB	Bovendien neem ik mij Ruth, de Moabietische en de vrouw van Machlon, tot vrouw, zodat de naam van de gestorvene niet uitsterft onder zijn familie en van de poort van zijn plaats. Jullie zijn vandaag getuigen."
SV	Daartoe aanvaard ik mij ook Ruth, de Moabietische, de huisvrouw van Machlon, tot een vrouw, om den naam des verstorvenen over zijn erfdeel te verwekken, opdat de naam des verstorvenen niet worde uitgeroeid van zijn broederen, en van de poort zijner plaats; gijlieden zijt heden getuigen.
WLC	וְגַ֣ם אֶת־ר֣וּת הַמֹּאֲבִיָּה֩ אֵ֨שֶׁת מַחְלֹ֜ון קָנִ֧יתִי לִ֣י לְאִשָּׁ֗ה לְהָקִ֤ים שֵׁם־הַמֵּת֙ עַל־נַ֣חֲלָתֹ֔ו וְלֹא־יִכָּרֵ֧ת שֵׁם־הַמֵּ֛ת מֵעִ֥ם אֶחָ֖יו וּמִשַּׁ֣עַר מְקֹומֹ֑ו עֵדִ֥ים אַתֶּ֖ם הַיֹּֽום׃
Trans.	wəḡam ’eṯ-rûṯ hammō’ăḇîyâ ’ēšeṯ m^aḥəlwōn qānîṯî lî lə’iššâ ləhāqîm šēm-hammēṯ ‘al-n^aḥălāṯwō wəlō’-yikārēṯ šēm-hammēṯ mē‘im ’eḥāyw ûmišš^a‘ar məqwōmwō ‘ēḏîm ’atem hayywōm:

AC	י וגם את רות המאביה אשת מחלון קניתי לי לאשה להקים שם המת על נחלתו ולא יכרת שם המת מעם אחיו ומשער מקומו עדים אתם היום
ASV	Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.
BE	And, further, I have taken Ruth, the Moabitess, who was the wife of Mahlon, to be my wife, to keep the name of the dead man living in his heritage, so that his name may not be cut off from among his countrymen, and from the memory of his town: you are witnesses this day.
Darby	moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.
ELB05	und auch Ruth, die Moabitin, das Weib Machlons, habe ich mir zum Weibe gekauft, um den Namen des Verstorbenen auf seinem Erbteil zu erwecken, daß nicht der Name des Verstorbenen ausgerottet werde unter seinen Brüdern und aus dem Tore seines Ortes. Ihr seid heute Zeugen!
LSG	et que je me suis également acquis pour femme Ruth la Moabite, femme de Machlon, pour relever le nom du défunt dans son héritage, et afin que le nom du défunt ne soit point retranché d'entre ses frères et de la porte de son lieu. Vous en êtes témoins aujourd'hui!
Sch	Dazu nehme ich mir Ruth zum Weibe, die Moabiterin, Machlons Weib, um den Namen des Verstorbenen auf seinem Erbteil wieder aufzurichten, damit des Verstorbenen Name nicht verschwinde aus der Mitte seiner Brüder und aus dem Tor seines Ortes. Dessen seid ihr heute Zeugen!
